Blick ins Val Sinestra über Zuort
Famous for its natural and cultural landscape, the unique suspension bridges and the mysterious Val Sinestra Art Nouveau house.

Description

Val Sinestra was voted Landscape of the Year 2011. The criteria are the demonstration of different aspects of the landscape, its protection and the ongoing commitment of the local people. The valley shows a harmonious interlocking of natural and cultural landscape with carefully developed villages and an intact forest and natural landscape with great biodiversity. The earth pyramids below Prà San Peder, formed over thousands of years from moraine material, are one of the valley's attractions. If you want to explore this natural monument and the Val Sinestra, you have to set off on foot, by bike or on snowshoes. However, the effort is rewarded with impressive scenery, such as on the Via Engiadina, which leads through the Val Sinestra.

The Val Sinestra Art Nouveau house is also a real highlight. This was built in 1912 as a spa hotel. Nowadays, it houses a hotel and a restaurant - but you can still sense a touch of times gone by.
