Top insider tour to the summer summit of Pizzo dell`uomo
Details
Description
If the road into Val Termine is already cleared in spring, we use the snow fields on the left-hand side, otherwise we have to carry skis for 10-15 minutes, depending on the conditions. We make our way leisurely towards Passo dell'uomo, unless avalanches in the lower section make it a little more difficult to find the optimum ascent track. Even before we reach the top of the pass, we start to leave the valley floor and head up to the left, a little steeply at first, then flatter again later on. The landscape in the Ovi dell uomo area is varied, we cross hollows and large snow cornices, always with a view of our destination and with the sun on our faces. The steep summit slope is impressive and not always easy to master. It must be well snowed in or have thawed a little in spring. Once at the top, it's not far to the summit cross and we have a clear view of an impressive mountain panorama.
Variant 1 descent: Along the ascent track. At the lake we have to make another short ascent.
Variant 2 descent: From the summit in an easterly direction via Foppa di Scai and Alpe di Croce down to the pass road
Tip: As the Lukmanier Pass is not accessible by public transport in winter, an on-call bus service is available on request:Mobile +41(0)79 150 66 66
Geheimtipp
The tour can be done until mid-May.
