Edit-a-thon expands its partner network to include Somedia - registration for the event on May 6 is now open .

Why do we need the edit-a-thon?Women are severely underrepresented on Wikipedia - only 18% of biographies are about women. Many remarkable women worldwide do not have their own Wikipedia entry. We want to change that! Together with our partners, we invite everyone to take part in the writing marathon.
Our mission:To make more women and their achievements visible on Wikipedia.Expand existing articles and create new ones.Raise awareness of gender equity - a task that affects us all.
