The tour starts in Flims-Laax-Falera and leads through the Flims forest to the Il Spir viewing platform, down to Trin station and across the Rhine for the first time. The short but steep ascent on trails has to be pushed, but once at the top, the view of the gorge with its gravel passages compensates. After a few kilometres on little-used gravel roads, you reach the picturesque village of Valendas, where you can take a short break and enjoy the idyllic landscape.

The route continues along the impressive Rhine Gorge, also known as the "Swiss Grand Canyon". At the Islabord viewpoint, a breathtaking backdrop of craggy rocks, imposing mountain peaks and deep gorges awaits you. On gravel paths you reach the village of Versam, where the Haus am Brunnen invites you to a lunch break with local specialities.

From Versam, the trail descends to Versam Station, where you have the option of shortening the tour and returning to Flims or Chur by RhB or post bus.
