Details
Description
Splügen lies in the Rhine forest at an altitude of 1,460 m above sea level, at the foot of the Splügen Pass and the San Bernardino Pass. The San Bernardino Pass presents itself as a gently ascending, wide Alpine crossing in a high-altitude moorland landscape. The 600 meters in altitude up to the Ospizio are relatively easy to conquer before the 40 km long descent through the southern valley of Graubünden, the Misox, to Bellinzona at an altitude of 238 m above sea level can be tackled with relish.
The cycle tour can be started in Thusis and extended as desired.
