From the village square, the path leads left past the church up the steep village street to the Hotel Valserhof. After crossing the road, the path passes to the right of the double stable, then along a little barn into the hills and joins a garden road. Follow this to the right until you reach the signposts.

Here, a steep path leads up through green meadows to the "Abersch Hus" inn. The path is a little less steep above the Maienssee Kart & tscha (1668 m) and Fulplatta to the Maienssee on the Matta (1734 m), which lies on a beautiful meadow plateau. You reach Maiens Tschifera (1764 m) with almost no ascent. From here to Wallatschalp, the path is marked, but is not clearly visible everywhere. Now you cross the Wallatschbach stream and after a short ascent you reach Alp Wallatsch. Here you can enjoy a beautiful view over the Peil valley. The trail continues along the slope over alpine meadows to Steinhirt. After Furtboda, the path to the pass is stony and leads over scree slopes to the pass summit (2504 m). Old military bunkers can be seen on the way. At the top of the pass, the view opens up into the Rheinwald forest to Hinterrhein and the San Bernardino pass road. The descent to Nufenen is on a steep path...

On a good path you reach üover alpine pastures and meadows üover Alp Falätscha the Tomülpass, which forms the border to the municipality of Vals. Gently downhill the path leads towards Alp Tomül and then you reach Riedboda (2030 m). Crystal-clear water from the Tomülbach, woolen grass and lush meadows make up the charm of the Riedboda. From this valley floor you always come to the Pradätsch viewpoint (1953 m), where you can already see the village of Vals from above. Continue along the alpine path, through the Riefa forest under the Hora. At the fork, turn left onto a steep, stony path that leads up the slope almost without any bends. At Mura, by the Hotel Valserhof, go down the gassa to the village square.
