Every day between 4 and 5 p.m., the Geisshirt returns to the Alpstafel with 200 goats from the day's grazing. Don't miss this highlight.
Description
The small mountain restaurant Kiosk Peil is located just before the Alpstafel. Recharge your batteries with home-made food and regional specialties. Open in dry weather. Easily accessible with the Vals hiking bus.
Fresh, home-made goat's milk products are also sold at the Alpstafel. The self-service fridge is refilled daily.
The Geissalp Peil Sust can be visited on request in July and August: Inquiries for a tour of the alp can be made directly to the alp master, Paul Wyss, tel. 079 504 74 08.
No sleeping places.

From approx. end of May to approx. end of September. Only open in dry weather.

Public Transport
by SBB to Chur, change trains and take the RhB to Ilanz and the last 20km by post bus to Vals.
The free hiking bus runs to Peil and back on selected days.
