UNESCO-Biosphere Engiadina Val Müstair

Müstair
The biosphere reserve has a long history. It was awarded the UNESCO label back in 1979, but at that time it was limited to the area of the Swiss National Park, which is now the core zone. Since 2017, Val Müstair with the Biosfera Val Müstair Regional Nature Park and parts of the municipality of Scuol have been included.

The Schmelzra Museum shows the geology and life in mining. It was once the administration of the S-charl mine and also houses a bear exhibition.

Hike across valleys

The hike leads from S-charl through the magical God da Tamangur to Alp Astras. After crossing the Pass da Costainas, you reach Lü in Val Müstair.
