Varied trail running circuit through the Viamala Gorge and over the Traversinersteg.
Details
Description
The tour starts at the train station in Thusis and, after a short section on tar, leads directly onto a varied trail that winds its way up through the forest. After the first ascent, you move in the Viamala Gorge on a narrow single trail with a view down into the impressive gorge. Concentrated running is necessary here, because the path is easy to walk, but somewhat exposed. This is soon followed by the Traversinersteg, a staircase hanging about 70 meters above the ground. After a short descent, the second climb follows up to Rongellen, from where the final descent towards Thusis is due. Here you can choose between a wider alpine road and a technically demanding single trail, depending on your preferences.
