Spazi Spescha

Museum Spazi Spescha in Trun

The estate of the artist Matias Spescha is preserved and mediated in Trun. In the former industrial hall, exhibitions are held that present Spescha's works.

Description

"Basically, the highest level of art would be reached if my work were left where I was, when I left." (Matias Spescha, 2006)

Matias Spescha's great wish, expressed two years before his death, is now fully realized: After the realization of his heart project, the monumental open-air sculpture OGNA, opened posthumously in 2013 near the banks of the Rhine in Trun, exactly 10 years later the complete work in the form of his artistic estate now finds a home in the artist's homeland. For this purpose, a spacious, light-flooded exhibition hall is being prepared in the former cloth factory.

The inaugural exhibition of SPAZI SPESCHA will show Matias Spescha (1925–2008) in a way that has never been seen before in Switzerland.
