Praden - Joch - Parpan (13)

The two ascents from Usser Praden and Inner Praden unite just above the village in the flank of the Sagentobel. In a steady incline, you follow the old Prader Alpweg via "Dürreggen" to the "Untersäss", the lower Prader Alp level. A little above the alpine hut, turn right (signposted Rangg–Joch) and follow the road in a westerly direction. After about 600 m, a path branches off to the left of the road and overcomes the steep, wooded northern flank of the Joch in a pleasantly ascending zigzag course in the Rangg forest. After leaving the forest, you are now in the upper alpine step of Praden and in about 15 minutes you reach the vantage point of the "Joch", which offers a magnificent view of Chur and the Schanfigg. From the viewpoint, you descend in a few minutes to the Berghaus, where you tackle the last stage for the descent to Parpan, Churwalden via «Foppa».
