Safety Note
Equipment
Sled or bobsled, ski helmet, comfortable and waterproof winter shoes or sturdy hiking boots, waterproof outdoor pants and jacket, if necessary gaiters, waterproof gloves, sun protection.
If you don't bring your own sled, you can rent sleds directly at the mountain station and at the start of the toboggan run at Furt in the Wachter sports shop.
Directions
The toboggan run is easily accessible via the Wangs gondola. We start the ride directly from the mountain station of the gondola. The first section of the route gets going quickly. After a brisk stretch running parallel to the ski slope, the path turns right, winding through the forest with several sharp curves. After about 5 minutes, we exit the forest and are greeted with a fantastic view of the Rhine Valley and the surrounding mountain scenery. Here, the ski slope crosses the toboggan run once. We ride carefully and slowly until we pass the junction. In the lower section, the path becomes flatter. Sometimes we ride through snowy forests, sometimes reaching more open sections that offer a glimpse of the great view. The toboggan run ends at the mid-station of the Wangs gondola. It appears on the right after about a 10-minute ride. Above the station, we turn onto the path that branches off to the right of the road.
