Heidi already felt safe here: The breathtaking natural scenery in the holiday region Heidiland has always touched and inspired people. Johanna Spyri, for example, who settled her world-famous Heidi story in Maienfeld after numerous stays in the spa town of Bad Ragaz. Today visitors experience the Heidi myth in the Original Heidi Village, which attracts around 150,000 visitors to Maienfeld every year. The region of the Bündner Herrschaft - to which Maienfeld also belongs - is also known as the "small region of great wines". The wines from the "Herrschaft" are regularly awarded international prizes and enjoy an excellent reputation among connoisseurs. Wine trails and guided wine tours make the theme tangible on site.
