A memorial stone on the Grep dalla Crusch commemorates the builders of the road Brigels - Waltensburg, which opened in 1870.

Description

A little east of the village of Brigels is the magnificent viewpoint Crest la Crusch. In the middle of this enclosed garden rises a granite block with an iron cross. This garden was built by the municipality of Brigels shortly after the completion of the first passable road to the valley. It was created out of gratitude to the three men (Escher, Bavier and Latour), who were very committed to the construction of this road and thus accelerated its creation. On the 7.5 km long section of the panoramic road from Waltensburg to Brigels, more than 50 workers were on duty. From the monument you have a magnificent view over the whole Surselva.
