Description

Have a fantastic time in Tarasp, and let the castle Tarasp, the fantastic view, and the unique landscape enchant you. Built on a 100m high rock, the castle watches over the village. In contrast to the other villages of the lower Engadine, Tarasp lies on the right side of the river Inn. Thanks to a number of mineral springs, the part of the village called Vulpera developed into a significant spa town in the second half of the 19th century.

The Chasa Tschuffa, which means shed, has been renovated and refurbished with high-quality materials. Surrounded by traditional houses at the base of the Tarasp castle, you will enjoy a fantastic view of the castle and the lake, the village Ftan on the opposite side of the valley, the main village Scuol, and the impressive mountains such as Piz Pisoc, Piz Zuort or Piz Plavna Dadaint and Dadora.
Grocery shops and the bus stop are located within a 10 minutes´ walk. Alternatively, sample culinary delights at the 15 GaultMillau-points restaurant, Schlosshotel Restaurant Chastè.
In summer, Tarasp can be used as the starting point for hikes or mountain bike tours in and around the Swiss National Park. Vulpera has one of the oldest outdoor swimming pools of Switzerland, as well as a nine-hole golf course.
In winter, tracks for cross-country skiing, hiking or tobogganing are prepared. The kids´ ski lift or the ice of the lake Tarasp are additional activity options. The ski area Motta Naluns on the opposite side of the valley can be reached conveniently by bus.
We are very happy to help you with anything you might need – we will recommend the best excursions, reserve a skiing instructor, or get a ticket for a spa and wellness treatment.
