The church, dedicated to the martyr Laurentius, is located on the castle hill between Glenner and Valserrhein, visible from afar. The castle has disappeared. Only the keep is still standing and has served as a church tower for the church built at that time since 1515.
In 1630, Hans Jakob Greutter, the South Tyrolean painter who was also active in neighbouring Uors, was commissioned to paint a Madonna of the Mantle (3) in the left side chapel. It is surrounded by the 15 medallions (4) with the mysteries of the Rosary. This depiction shows the influence of the Dominicans, who were particularly active during the time of the Counter-Reformation. In the chapel on the right, an unknown painter immortalized Mary with her dead son in her arms al Mater Dolorosa (5).
A special decoration are the 14 Stations of the Cross (6), which can be seen in elaborately carved rocaille frames on both sides of the nave. Astonishingly, the pictures were explained in German.
The delicate high altar from the 17th century offers space for three figures: on the left the angel of the Annunciation Gabriel, on the right Mary and in the middle above it the church patron Laurentius. Barely recognizable as a crown in the heights of the Risen One with a flag.
Don't miss the small cemetery on the plateau of the church (7). Since the separation from the valley church in Pleif in 1528, the dead of Tersnaus, Camuns and Surcasti have been buried here.

Place of Magic
The rocky ridge on which the church of Sogn Luregn stands is a powerful place, ideal for bringing the organism into balance. The energy of the water and the murmur can be felt and heard all the way to the church. The Glogn develops a lot of life-giving energy through the free flow. This power is particularly pronounced in the church of Sogn Luregn. Powerful energies can also be felt in the church.
