The family via ferrata can be reached from Trun in about 2h 30min with a steeper ascent, along the dozing Ferrerabach. If you would like to use an easier way, you can drive by car (buy your driving licence on the road for Fr. 7.00) or take the Alpine taxi from Trun station (Taxi Demont 079 853 81 92) to Alp da Schlans. The varied high-altitude trail leads at the beginning through forest and meadow sections, slightly descending to the Alp da Punteglias. From there it goes uphill to the entrance of the via ferrata in about 1.5h (mar-kiert with yellow triangles).

ascent

The ascent takes place over the five varied rock sections: large stones, roof, waterfall plate, ibex wall and birthday plate. In between it has short running pas-say and you are always accompanied by the imposing waterfall with a clear view of the valley and the mountain scenery. The last, a few meters take place on the mountain path to the Camona da Pun-teglias CAS which welcomes you warmly and spoils you with delicious cake from the wood oven.

Important Notes for Users

• Walk the via ferrata only with the necessary experience or in the company of a patented mountain guide.
• Rope harness, via ferrata set, helmet, practical footwear, gloves and suitable clothing are essential.
• For a safe ascent, good condition, a head for heights and sure-footedness are prerequisites.
• Only get in in constant weather. In the event of thunderstorms, there is a danger to life on the via ferrata. Leave the via ferrata immediately via emergency exit halfway up.
• Respect flora and fauna and stay on the chosen route and paths.
• Do not leave any waste.
• Do not trigger a rockfall.

Each inspection is at your own risk. Insurance coverage is a matter for each individual. Any liability is rejected.
