The Ilanz

Tennis Club was founded in 1934 with 19 members as the Ilanz Ice and Tennis Club. The construction of the natural tennis courts on the Crappa Grossa sports field in the city of Ilanz was carried out in voluntary work. In 1952, the tennis courts were modernized and re-leveled with red Merkel sand. Thanks to the installation of a lighting system in 1972, the evening playing time could be extended to 22:00 h. In 2000, the tennis club on the Fontanivas site in Ilanz was allowed to take over the newly built tennis facility with 3 clay courts of the new generation, a ball wall and a modern clubhouse. With 160 members, the Ilanz Tennis Club is today one of the most important sports clubs in the Surselva.  

In the foreground is tennis as a competitive sport or as a sporty-fun game with the yellow felt ball. Social goals such as camaraderie, team spirit and enjoyment of sporting activities are also part of it. After the game, sports friendships can be maintained or re-established in the cozy clubhouse. The social club life has a high priority for us and is promoted by various activities. Interested?
