Wergenstein Reformed Church
The Reformed Church in Wergenstein is a listed Protestant Reformed church.
Description
In late medieval times, the church is attested under the patronage of Calixt. Wergenstein adopted the Reformation before 1538. In this year, the church was extended and designed as a reformed preaching church.
The tower facing the valley is covered by a tent roof and has a single-storey belfry. In front of the chancel, which is adorned with a ribbed vault, the raised pulpit without a soundboard corresponds on the left and the organ on the right, while a baptismal font, on which communion is also celebrated, stands in the centre of the chancel.
Opening hours
The church is open during the day and freely accessible.
