Engadin Winter Hiking

Day 1: Individual arrival

After arrival in Pontresina, you will be greeted at the hotel at 11:45 am. The afternoon begins with a first hike. From Pontresina, you will take a horse-drawn carriage to the picturesque Val Rosegg. The way back to Pontresina is on foot through the wintry landscape, accompanied by impressive views and fresh mountain air. Hiking time approx. 21/2 h / ↑ 300 m ↓

Day 2: Alp Es-cha Dadour

After the train ride to Madulain, a wonderful winter hike begins from the village, which leads through idyllic larch forests. Wonderful views open up and you can enjoy the peace and quiet of nature to the fullest, all the way to Alp Es-Cha Dadour. Hiking time approx. 31/2 h / ↑ 450 m ↓

Day 3: Stazerwald & Lake Hike

The trail leads through the fairytale Staz Forest to St. Moritz Bad, from where it continues over the frozen lakes to Silvaplana. The hike offers the opportunity to start the way back at several points. In the evening, a leisurely tour of the village in Pontresina awaits, rounded off by a delicious Engadine dinner. Hiking time approx. 31/2 h / ↑ 200 m ↓

Day 4: Fextal

From Sils Maria, a picturesque ride in a horse-drawn carriage leads up to the enchanting Fex Valley. The varied landscape, framed by majestic, snow-capped mountains, invites you to marvel. The way back leads over the Muotta da Güvè and back to the sparkling Laj da Segl (Lake Sils), where winter nature unfolds in all its glory. Hiking time approx. 31/2 h / 270 m ↑ 360 m ↓

Day 5: Muottas Muragl / Individual return journey

On Muottas Muragl, the snow crunches under your feet, while the breathtaking view of the valley and the snow-covered mountain peaks all around enchants you. The surrounding area presents itself as a dreamlike winter landscape in bright white. In the afternoon, the individual return journey takes place or there is the possibility to extend your stay in the Engadine and spend a few additional days in this beautiful region. Hiking time approx. 21/2 h / ↑ 350 m ↓
