Lower Engadine

Day 1: Individual arrival

Meeting point at 12.30 pm at the Hotel Chalamandarin in Ftan. After a small lunch together, circular hike in Ftan. Hiking time approx. 11/2 h / 90 m ↑

Day 2: Val Sinestra

From the mountain village of Vna through the snow-covered terraced landscape into Val Sinestra. In the middle of Val Sinestra in a forest clearing lies the Zuort farm. Enjoy a regional dish in the cosy, historic mountain restaurant. On the same path hike back to Vna. Hiking time approx. 3 h / 170 m ↑

Day 3: Alpine settlements

The hike starts in Guarda - a pearl in the Lower Engadine. Hike to Bos-cha, ascent to the alpine settlements of Teas and Munt to Ardez. On the way there is the possibility to discover animal tracks. Train ride to Scuol and bus to Ftan back to the hotel. Hiking time approx. 31/2 h / 250 m ↑ 430 m ↓

Day 4: La Nair

After a short steep ascent in Tarasp Fontana, view over the Nordic-looking landscape of Lai Nair. The Piz Pisoc looks impressive as a backdrop. Leisurely hike through the quiet countryside to Avrona. In the charming mountain inn, a fine Graubünden barley soup is served for lunch. Hike through the forest on a forest road back to Tarasp Fontana. Hiking time approx. 31/2 h / 210 m ↑

Day 5: Scuol

Hike to Scuol, slightly downhill on the sunny slope with a view of the  imposing Engadine Dolomites and Tarasp Castle. On the guided tour of the village, the most beautiful Engadine houses and squares can be seen. Visit to the regional museum, which gives an insight into an authentic Engadine house. Followed by an aperitif in the historic house and free time to stroll in Scuol or swim in the Bogn Engiadina. Hiking time approx. 2 h / 390 m ↓

Day 6: Individual return journey

Chairlift ride up to Prui and leisurely hike to Ftan. From 2.00 p.m. farewell and individual return journey. Hiking time approx. 1 h / 420 m ↓
