Zernez Ofen Pass

Day 1: Individual arrival

Individual arrival via Landquart to Zernez. Meeting point at 1.30 p.m. at Zernez train station. After checking into your room at the nearby Hotel Selva, you can go on a walk around the village of Zernez. In the evening, get in the mood for the coming days with a joint aperitif.

Day 2: Plan Ivraina

From Ova Spin, the snowshoe tracks lead through the pine forest to Plan Ivraina. Lunch break at a hunting lodge with a view of the mighty Ortler. With luck, an eagle or bearded vulture will make its rounds. Afterwards interesting village tour through Zernez. Hiking time approx. 4 h / ↑ 350 m ↓

Day 3: Jufplaun

Postbus ride to the Buffalora bus stop on the Ofenpass road. Along a snow-covered stream in the pine and pine forest, ascent to the Jufplaun plateau. The view of the Val Mora and the Lower Engadine Dolomites is impressive. Hiking time approx. 5 h / ↑ 350 m ↓

Day 4: Scuol/Motta Naluns

Train ride to Scuol in the Lower Engadine. The gondola lift takes you up to the snow sports and ski area of Motta Naluns. Varied snowshoe hike to Ftan. On the way, stop at the beautiful Prui mountain inn, where "you or woman" can enjoy a fine, well-known "Huuskaffi". Hiking time approx. 5 h / 150 m ↑ 630 m ↓

Day 5: Wildlife Observation

Start of the snowshoe tour from the Ofenpass summit and enjoyable hike on the Senda Val Müstair via Alp Champatsch to Lü. Along the way, possibility to observe chamois and ibex. Hiking time approx. 5 h / 300 m ↑ 450 m ↓

Day 6: Individual return journey

Half-day tour (depending on snow conditions) or visit to the National Park Museum in Zernez and individual return journey. Hiking time approx. 11/2 h / ↑ 100 m ↓
