«Zombie Mermaids, a song for future Waters» This «song» is a speculative opera about the anger and resistance of the cross-species zombie mermaids, who rebel against established power relations and dominant ways of life. It is inspired by legends in which female beings are connected to watercourses. The sound piece was created as a collective work between three artists, the river and the environment, recording songs, water, light and sounds with hydrophone, geophone and light-sensitive DIY sensors. The sound is produced by the fluctuating energy of the sun.
