Concentus rivensis - From Near and Far Near - Serenade

From "Ej, hora, hora" to "Santa Lucia", from the Czech Republic to Napoli, from "Barabbabba" to the sighing St. James above the Bristen sky - it goes around in circles in the summer evening concert program that Karl Jerolitsch, tenor, a vocal ensemble and an instrumental ensemble will offer in this year's Serenade of the Concentus. Enrico Lavarini wrote the original compositions and arrangements - he also conducts the performance.

Thus, with regard to this performance, one encounters newly written music from all directions, with "Baj mir bist du schejn" and other songs from the roots of Eastern Judaism, generations ago to the West, to America. You can also hear love songs from villages in Bohemia and Moravia, Italian music from Donizetti to Modugno, Swiss music with and without double bass solo, all in a colourful sound language, with clarinet, strings and piano.
