Concert by Musica Transalpina

On the glacier with a violin in your luggage? In the period between 1550 and 1800, there was a lively exchange of music across the Alps. The carriers of this transfer were the musicians themselves, who usually traveled on foot and under life-threatening conditions. The ensemblehistoirefuture follows this trail in a musical journey through time into the mountains and discovers a new listening perspective on music of the early modern period - captivatingly virtuosic, playfully humorous and historically well-founded.

Beforehand, there is the opportunity to learn more about the St. Johann monastery and the Benedictine nuns during a sonorous guided tour of the museum at 5 pm.
