The programme spans the spectrum from Boccherini's quintet, which became famous for the crime comedy "Ladykillers" from 1955, to Glazunov's A major Quintet, peppered with numerous Russian folk melodies, to a monolith of chamber music: Schubert's C major Quintet.

After concerts in northern Germany and the Elbphilharmonie, the ensemble will once again find its way via Stuttgart and Freiburg to Switzerland, Bern and the Engadine. The ensemble around the ECHO Klassik award winner and Hamburg violinist Gustav Frielinghaus is well known to the audience after many successful concerts.

The Süddeutsche Zeitung judged the recently released sextet CD "Souvenir de Florence" as "passionate and tender" and Radio Bremen spoke of "incredible power and a lot of desire to make music".
