Concert with organ and vocals

On the Sunday before the feast of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary, Alois Koch, organist in Lucerne, will play a concert with music by Johann Sebastian Bach (1685-1750) on the beautiful Späth organ of the Nossadonna Church in Savognin. This great composer, a Lutheran, revered Mary very much. His magnificent Magnificat, as well as cantatas and organ works, bear eloquent witness to this. The organist will open the concert with the virtuoso Toccata in F major BWV 540.
The soloist will be the well-known soprano Alexandra Peterelli. She sings arias from the cantata "Meine Seele erhebt den Herrn", among others.
The crowning finale is the mighty Magnificat fugue BWV 733 for organ.

The concert will take place on Sunday, August 11, 2024, at 8 p.m. in the Nossadonna Church in Savognin.
