The Graubünden architect has created an impressive body of work that mainly includes hotel and restaurant buildings as well as commercial and residential buildings. Born in Chur, the grande dame of Swiss architecture is a master of her craft and has had a lasting influence on building culture. As an architectural artist, she forges her own path and has successfully asserted herself in the male-dominated world of architecture. Tilla Theus lives in Zurich and Valbella and has completed numerous outstanding projects throughout Switzerland. Particularly well-known are the elegant "summit restaurant" on the Weisshorn in Arosa or, more recently, the buildings in Muri (AG) with the Hotel Caspar and the Leuenhof commercial building on Zurich's Bahnhofstrasse. It gained international attention with the renovation of the "Widder Hotel" in Zurich and the new FIFA headquarters.

Tilla Theus is also involved in a variety of cultural policy in monument committees, in building councils, but also in the Association for Future Research. In addition, ten years ago she was ranked 20th among the most influential personalities in Switzerland in a ranking by the Gottlieb Duttweiler Institute.
