Actually, the Zurich rapper E.K.R. had long since retreated to his luxury hideaway in the Swiss mountains and diligently urinated fingers in the snow from the balcony. But it's like with all superheroes: He is still needed and comes to Schall & Rauch on his mini-tour to Chur with his new album "Blaus Bluet". His music shakes and calibrates listeners instead of just serving as background noise.

E.K.R. has been stirring up the dialect music scene since the nineties with hits such as "Ein König regiert" and "Oh Susi" and has attracted attention with storytelling. His new album continues this approach, each piece has its own theme and every line its meaning. E.K.R. is not interested in the mainstream, but in the art, the music and the authentic representation of everyday life in which its listeners can find themselves.

"Blaus Bluet" poses the core question of distraction, misinformation, manipulation and algorithms. This is addressed in songs like "Dopamine", "Infochrieg" and "Verblödet". E.K.R. reflects on the focus and values in society while musically uniting different genres on the nostalgic track "Trainer & Goldchetteli".

Maybe E.K.R. – to juggle a bit more with the vocabulary of the moment – is simply the most sustainable rapper in the world. He only shows up when he has something to say again.
