En Fanfare

Thibaut, a conductor from Paris, is at the peak of his career and fills concert halls all over the world. One day, during a medical examination, it turns out that he and his sister are not related at all, because Thibaut was adopted. Instead, he learns that he apparently has a biological brother. Jimmy is employed in the school canteen in a working-class town in the province of northern France and plays the trombone in the local brass band. The life circumstances of the two could not be more different, but their passion for music and their musical talent soon bring them closer together.
"En fanfare" was celebrated with a standing ovation at its premiere at the Cannes Film Festival.
