Gardi Hutter – "The Brave Hanna"

Hanna, disheveled and whimsical, does not have an easy life as a laundress. Unruly clothespins, treacherous laundry ropes, a washing trough with dizzying abysses and a dirty pile of laundry can only be conquered with cunning. Hanna's ray of hope here are the heroic deeds of Joan of Arc.

Without hesitation, she would trade her arduous life for adventure, fame and honor. Dream and reality mix. The laundry tub becomes a warship, the pile of laundry becomes a war horse, Johanna's trousers "come flying from heaven" and elevate her to a knight: Long live Jeanne d'ArPpo! In the absence of foreign conquerors, it unceremoniously declares war on its bitterest enemy: the "giant pile of dirty laundry".
