Geology Rätikon and traces of the Ice Age

During the Würm Ice Age, the glacier surface reached up to the height of the mountain station of the Älplibahn. After an introduction by Martin Liesch on the Älpli, there is a short hike to the sugar cane, where you get a good overview of the geology of the Rätikon as well as the moraines of the former glacier tongues of the Vilan, Falknis and Jies glaciers. Wear sturdy shoes! Max. 24 people, ascents from 9.00, 9.15 and 9.30 a.m., guided tour and lunch, descents at 2.30 p.m., 2.45 p.m. and 3.00 p.m.
