HARLEM SISTERS OF GOSPEL

The group was formed in 2014 in the Harlem neighborhood of New York on the initiative of singers Becky White and Sabrina Morris and takes its name from the place of their origins in "Harlem Sisters of Gospel". Three other talented voices then join and the ensemble is inspired by the great interpreters of the African-American musical tradition such as Mahalia Jackson, Dorothy Norwood, Aretha Franklin, Whitney Houston and the Clark Sisters. Their repertoire includes classic songs such as "Down By the Riverside", "Joshua Fit Battle of Jericho", "When the Saints Go Marching In" and the iconic "Oh Happy Day" that the "Sisters" have toured across the United States. During the Christmas period there will also be those popular songs such as "Silent Night", "Feliz Navidad" which are now part of the international heritage of the song and which will involve the spectators.

The brilliant singer-songwriter and musician from Mesolcina (Christel Balzano) had her first musical approach in the field of jazz and in 2018 she moved to Rome where she obtained a bachelor's and master's degree in pop singing at the Saint Louis College of music. He returns as a guest to our Festival to his audience in an acoustic version. accompanied by guitarist and composer Giulio Scipioni.
