Guided tour of the Don Bosco insect show garden

On this tour of the insect show garden, landscape gardener Susanne Schiesser will not only tell you exciting facts about insects, but also give you a practical insight into how insects can be promoted in a garden or on a balcony with simple means.

As part of the "Insect Oasis Parc Ela" campaign, a show garden for the insect world has been created at the Don Bosco holiday home in Lantsch/Lenz. The area in the middle of the sparse mountain pine forest has been upgraded as an exemplary themed garden for insects in order to inspire enthusiasm for the habitat of the six-legged animals. Various areas with native wild plants specifically promote regional insect diversity. It is particularly important that there is always something blooming from May to October. The elements with dead wood, gravel, sand and stones also provide the insects with retreats and nesting opportunities.

All those who would like to make their garden, their balcony or simply the surroundings of their house and yard more natural and thus more insect-friendly are cordially invited to this tour.
