The (life) cycle or the path of man from "physical" to "spiritual" life was a recurring main theme for Karl Bickel, both in his sketches, engravings and oil paintings and in the construction of the Paxmal. In the form of well-known and unknown persons, he repeatedly presented various stages programmatically. On the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the start of construction, this year's summer exhibition is thematically dedicated to the life path implemented in Paxmal. What Bickel has implemented in the form of mosaics on the Schrina-Hochrugg will be on display in the museum in various media.
Among the people immortalized in the Peace Monument is the Swiss Nobel Prize winner for literature Carl Spitteler (1845-1924). On the occasion of the 100th anniversary of Spitteler's death, two staged readings will take place in the museumbickel.
