In the middle of the 19th century, around 2000 Swiss emigrated to Brazil. (Were there any Schanfiggers among them?). It was during this time that choro emerged in Rio de Janeiro. A fusion of popular European music (polka, waltz) and the music of African slaves. In this concert, the two musicians devote themselves to this musical style with great dedication.
