Description
The date of the widely known, popular and already traditional literary walk is approaching. As in the previous triennials, the group of writers was inspired by the open-air exhibition Bad Ragartz. On 25 August, on the occasion of its 9th LiteraTOUR, it will take its visitors to the various sculptures of the sculpture park in Bad Ragaz.
During a tour of the exhibition in the spring, the authors each selected "their" sculpture and gave it a voice, created a story about it, a fantasy, a utopia, a contemplation. They were inspired by shape, color, and expressiveness. They followed the drama or humor of the depictions and created their own statements.
A quote from Michelangelo reads: "Every block of stone has a statue in it and it is the task of the sculptor to find it." In this sense, the writers said to themselves: "Every sculpture has a story in it and it is the task of the author to find it." The seven members of the group "Literature in Sarganserland" have taken on this task and are looking forward to presenting their sometimes provocative, partly resistant, but always impressive stories to the visitors.
Reading: Ivo Bizozzero – Miriam Derungs – Ursula Germann – Tobias Ibele – Gisela Salge – Werner Wildhaber and Beda Zimmermann.
The literary tour from sculpture to sculpture is led by Brigitte Aggeler. It lasts about 2 hours and takes place in all weather conditions. The meeting is at 10.30 a.m. at the Bad Ragaz bookstore, Bartholoméplatz 3. It is an advantage to bring a portable seat.
Registration is not required and admission is free. The event is supported by Südkultur and the Raiffeisenbank Sarganserland. A financial contribution can be donated via the collection. For more information, see www.literatur-im-sarganserland.ch/.
