Lotus Crash unites four excellent improvisers who bring a lot of international experience to the stage. The quartet creates music of raw beauty, surprising with an almost transparent, warm and expressive sound. The repertoire includes refreshingly own themes, but also selected pieces by favorite musicians such as Andrew Cyrill or Roscoe Mitchell. The line-up with two wind instruments plus a rhythm section without a harmony instrument has a long tradition in jazz, which is further developed by the four musicians using contemporary instrumental techniques with broken forms and hidden composition, whereby the differentiated improvisations of this band are far off the streamlines. This is creative jazz at its best!
