Flower Power is the encounter of art and medicinal plants in a modern medical environment: Healing plants in medicine and care - where are plants really good? Applications of plants in aroma care - an overview in the KSGR; Plants in art - to carry on the fascination of plants through art and what we know today about healing art.

The introductory lecture on the potential of plants in phytotherapy and dietary supplements will be given by Prof. em. Dr. Reinhard Saller (patron of the exhibition). Dr. Melanie Rehli (Chief Physician Pain Center, Senior Physician Anesthesia) gives an overview of phytotherapy offers at the KSGR. Dr. Anne Marielle Stauffer (Senior Physician Anesthesia) will talk about practical applications of phytotherapy in the anesthesia setting and acute care and Dr. Hanna Burkhalter (Head of Nursing Development) will give an insight into aroma care at the KSGR.

Member of the Executive Board and patron of the exhibition, Monica von Toggenburg, opens the event and the chairwoman of the art commission and curator of the exhibition, Friederike Schmid, shows the networking of "Flower Power – Healing Plants" with the various areas in the KSGR.

Before the mini-symposium, there will be the opportunity to take a guided tour of part of the exhibition with Friederike Schmid.

"Flower Power – Healing Plants" is the current exhibition at the KSGR, where floral art is networked with various hospital areas. 104 works of art by various lenders and artist friends are "blooming" at the four hospital locations. A year full of flower power awaits us with art, lectures, culinary highlights and medicinal plant beds in the hospital gardens. The exhibition ends on March 16, 2025.
