Pianist Sergey Tanin's programme begins with works by the French Baroque composer Pancrace Royer – his eclectic and rousing tonal language sets the mood for a programme that reaches into the present day with the world premiere of "Auspicium" by Swiss composer Morris Wolf. In addition, the hypnotic "Fandango" by Padre Antonio Soler and two famous sonatas by Chopin and Schumann will be heard. Sergey Tanin is a prizewinner of various renowned piano competitions, including the Concours Géza Anda, the Bremen Piano Competition or the Kissinger Klavierolymp, and has convinced his audiences in halls such as the Tonhalle Zurich or the Salle Gaveau in Paris.
