National Future Day

Experience the future for a day. What does the working world at a theatre like the Chur Theatre actually look like? What ingredients do you need to create an exciting theatre programme? Where does the money come from? What plans need to be made? What is the task of theatre directors? Where can I get the tickets? Who does the advertising? What are the tasks of stage, lighting and sound technology? Questions upon questions up to perhaps the most important question for young people: How do you become an actor in the first place? What kind of life is it like in the theatre?

On Future Day, the team from Theater Chur welcomes interested children and young people from the 5th and 7th grades to get a taste of everyday theatre work. They get to know employees in management, accounting, dramaturgy, box office, technology, communication and theatre education personally, learn about their training and can ask all the questions that have always interested them. The children and young people are invited to watch how actors prepare for their performance, how a sound and mixing console is operated and how the stage is lit up.
