On the vast high plateau of Lantsch, near Vazerol, a large open-air theater is premiered, which tells of the political turmoil of the Grisons valleys, the European game of powers and the birth of the Free State. The mountain massifs of the Albula region form the magnificent backdrop to the drama. On the wide meadows, ethnic groups, patrician families, foreign envoys, princes and kings meet and tell of the struggle for power and freedom. A dramatic game of chess, carried by historical memory, set in one of the most beautiful pass landscapes in Graubünden.
