Organ concert in the St. Margarethenkirche in Ilanz

Erik-Jan van der Hel is organist at the Immanuelkerk in Ermelo (organ by Reil, 1981, modelled on Hinsz, 1764/1765), he plays concerts, teaches and composes. He also made various radio and CD recordings and was several times a concert giver and lecturer at the improvisation courses in Lausanne.
From 1992 onwards, Erik-Jan van der Hel played several concerts in Graubünden.

Erik-Jan van der Hel (*1967) studied organ with Peter van Dijk, Jacques van Oortmerssen (Amsterdam University of Music) and Maurice Pirenne (Utrecht University of Music). He also studied church music and harpsichord with Anneke Uittenbosch for several years. Further studies with Stef Tuinstra, master class with Lorenzo Ghielmi and Jean-Claude Zehnder. He won prizes at the Albert Schweitzer Festival in Deventer (1987), the Swiss Organ Competition in Graubünden (1992) and the Paul Hofhaimer Competition in Innsbruck (1995).
