«… and to serve the peculiarities of many..." from the Rule of St. Benedict

The exhibition is dedicated to the eight Benedictine nuns of Müstair and their preferences and talents. With their personal experiences, interests and character traits, they make the community unique. In the areas of tension between man and religion as well as subject and community, the exhibition approaches the question of how much space there can be for individuality in a community.

For the presentation in the refectory, the common dining room, the sisters of Müstair have each provided a favorite object. The objects reflect her inclinations and abilities and come from both spiritual and secular areas of her everyday life in the monastery. The result is a multifaceted collection of objects ranging from her own artistic works, to family heirlooms, to small guilty pleasures, such as sporty fan merchandise or the latte macchiato from Starbucks.
