DIVENSION (CH) Sarganserland - Melodic Death Metal

The band Divension is a 5 piece melodic death metal band from Sargans, Switzerland. It was founded in 2005, originally as a Slayer cover band. Meanwhile, Divension define themselves as a metal band that also works outside the clichéd "metal-evil-black/white" world. Their songs know how to fascinate the audience with gripping riffs, melodic choruses and exciting variety and to get stuck in the ear. Breaking genre boundaries, why not! However, the southeastern Swiss do not renounce the necessary toughness and passion.

When the band was founded in 2005 by mastermind and songwriter Roger Baumgartner together with bassist Philipp Kräuchi, no one could have guessed that the debut album "Conquer The Dying Sun" would be released 15 years later. After a few line-up changes and two longer artistic breaks, Divension has now been ready to play on the stages in its current formation since 2023 and is already working on a follow-up album.

With Domo Bösch, who has been shouting his multifaceted vocals into the pit since 2007, drummer Dominik Gisler, who has been setting the beat since 2019, as well as Matthias Keller on bass and Filipe Gordilho on rhythm guitar, who have been contributing their great band experience since 2023, band founder and song composer Roger Baumgartner has a very well-functioning and well-rehearsed troupe at the start.

The guys from Divension have unanimously set themselves one goal, to offer joy in music and energetic live gigs in a good quality.

In 2020, after a long wait, their debut album "Conquer The Dying Sun" was released. In addition to new songs, the album also contains reviews of the last 15 years of her musical work. Between modern melodic death metal there are also songs with thrashy touches. The title song of the first album is a twelve-minute epic, which invites you to enjoy and sink in.
