For 25 years, this piano trio has existed in different formations, whose name, derived from "trio-essence", refers to the equality of the instruments. With his music, pianist Bernhard Schüler creates shimmering sound paintings and sometimes refers to them as "song jazz": singable melodies with song-like structures with a focus on melody and songs that distinguishes this trio from other jazz trios.
