Halberstadt in the summer of 1990. In one of the tunnels, Maren, Robert and Volker come across the millions of the GDR: an infinite number of banknotes, stored here to rot. The three of them smuggle backpacks full of them out. Together with friends and people from the neighborhood, they develop a sophisticated system to legally exchange the now worthless money for goods. Because if you're a little smart now, this summer can be not only a great adventure, but also the final turning point in life...

A humorous adventure in a time when everything seemed possible. It's about money and justice – and about what really counts in life: friendship and family.
