«Viva la mamma - mothers in opera» – Winter Concert

The cycle, consisting of newly arranged opera arias, is dedicated to the role of the mother in opera. The internationally renowned mezzo-soprano Maria Riccarda Wesseling embodies the central mother figure and is accompanied by the Graubünden Chamber Philharmonic Orchestra under the direction of Philippe Bach. From Verdi and Puccini to Tchaikovsky and Richard Strauss, Tarkmann's cycle offers a special opportunity to experience famous mother figures from the history of opera in a new musical light.
