Mountain Hut Engadin Samnaun Val Müstair
Alpine area Vermunt
Description
The Vermunt alpine region is the source of much confusion: if the Alps on the Swiss side belong to the villages near Ardez, they are separated from the Alps by high glaciers. For clarification: Vermunt stretches over the Bielerhöhe from Montafon in Vorarlberg to Paznaun in Tyrol. Today, the Grossvermunt is understood to be the joint continuation of the Kloster- and Ochsental valleys from Lake Silvrettasee towards Montafon. The Kleinvermunt extends from the Bielerhöhe and from the Bieltal into the Paznaun.
