Rural Ramosch is located in the Lower Engadine (approx. 10 km to the border with Austria and Italy). The nearest and family-friendly ski resort Motta Naluns in Scuol (CH) can be reached in eight minutes by car. The other skiing and hiking areas Samnaun (CH), Nauders Bergkastel (A) and Schöneben (I) can all be reached within 30 - 40 minutes. The Scuol-Martina cross-country ski trail runs in the immediate vicinity of the village of Ramosch. The Lower Engadine is a wonderful area for mountain bike tours and hikes (national park). The intact fauna and flora in the region is unique, especially during the months of June and July the mountain meadows are in full bloom. Botany lovers will find countless and unique meadow flowers. Rare bird species are also still native to the area. Ramosch is a suitable place for observations and research projects for the Sempach Ornithological Institute.
